Privacy policy

On the website of Isolatiebedrijf RT Hoofddorp you sometimes leave personal data, for example when you ask for advice or a quote. Here you can read which data that is, what we do with it, who we share it with and what rights you have.

Who is responsible

Isolatiebedrijf RT Hoofddorp, a branch of Renovatie Totaal, Antareslaan 65, 2132 JE Hoofddorp, is responsible for what happens to your data. You can ask a question about privacy through the contact form or by phone on 035 234 0322.

What data we process

• What you fill in on the form: your name, phone number, email address, postcode and house number, what your question is about and anything you add.
• What you tell us yourself when you call us or send us a WhatsApp message.
• Technical data that your browser sends along, such as your IP address, the type of browser and the time of your visit.

We do not ask for special categories of personal data, such as data about your health.

What we use it for

• Answering your question, looking at your home, giving you a quote or advice, and then preparing and carrying out the work. The legal basis is the agreement you enter into with us or want to.
• Our accounts: invoices and everything that goes with them, because the law requires it.
• Keeping the website secure and preventing spam through the form. We have a legitimate interest in this.

Preventing spam

A spam filter protects the form. In the background, that filter checks whether a person is filling it in. To do so it uses technical data, such as your IP address and details about your browser, and for nothing else. You do not have to click anything yourself.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We do work with a few regular service providers. Each one only receives what it needs for its own task and may not use your data for anything else:

• a web agency that manages the website and the form;
• a hosting provider where the website runs;
• an email service that sends the messages from the form;
• the spam filter of the form;
• WhatsApp, if you send us a message through WhatsApp;
• Google, for the map;
• our accountant, for the accounts.

Sometimes we have to hand over data because the law requires it, for example to the Dutch Tax Administration.

Data outside Europe

Some of these service providers, such as Google, are American. Your data may then end up in the United States. That is only allowed with the safeguards of the GDPR: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

The map

The contact page has a Google Maps map, so you can see where we are. That map loads as soon as you scroll to it. Google then receives your IP address and may place cookies. You can read how that works in our cookie policy.

How long we keep data

No longer than necessary. We keep a request for as long as we need it to deal with your question. If you become a customer, we keep what ends up in our accounts for seven years, because the Dutch Tax Administration requires it. Technical log files are deleted automatically after a few days.

Security

The website only works over an encrypted connection (https). Only people who need your data for their work have access to it.

Your rights

You have a lot of say over your own data. You may:

• see which data we hold about you;
• have it corrected if it is wrong;
• have it deleted;
• ask us to stop using it for a while;
• receive it in a common file format, or have it sent to another company;
• object to what we do on the basis of our legitimate interest;
• withdraw a consent you gave at any time.

Make your request through the contact form or by phone on 035 234 0322. You will hear from us within a month. To be sure it concerns your data, we may ask you to confirm who you are.

Do you disagree with how we handle your data? Then you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Of course, we would also like to hear about it from you first.

Changes

If anything changes in how we handle data, we update this policy. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
